For ages birth to 18 months. Babies need the great outdoors as much as older youth and adults do. Spend the afternoon with Linda Rose exploring the waters of Honey Creek. Registration is required.

For ages 18 to 36 months. Join Linda Rose as we explore mud mountain and prepare to get a bit muddy. An extra set of clean clothes may be required! Registration is required.

For youth ages 12 to 17 years and older. Join Linda Rose as we create our own dip candles over the open fire. Registration is required.

For ages 3 to 5 years. Join Linda Rose as we try to catch some fish in the pond. Fishing poles and bait provided or bring your own. Registration is required.

Spend the morning looking and listening to the sights and sounds of nature in the preserve as you walk the trails with Linda Rose. Binoculars helpful. This walk qualifies for the Walking Stick Program and lasts about 1 ¼ hour. Registration required.

Join Linda Rose in the grasslands and trails as we look for insects along the ways. Learn what makes an insect and insect and more. Nets provided or bring your own. Registration is required.

Spend the afternoon looking at the photo entries for the 26th Annual SCPD Photo Contest and then enjoy a walk in the park.

Spend the afternoon with Linda Rose on the pond paddling around and enjoying the sights that nature has to offer. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided. Registration is required.

For ages 5 to 12 years. Join Linda Rose as we walk the river looking to see what lives in, on, under and near the river. Boots or old shoes (no open toes) recommended. Registration is required.

Picnic in the Park is a patriotic and family-friendly community event celebrating America 250 and the 30th anniversary of Seneca Parks. The event will include music, games, activities, and an opportunity to honor local veterans. General attendance is free; commemorative picnic totes with meals and sponsorship options are available for purchase. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose as we explore the trails to appreciate what is blooming in the prairie. This walk will last about 1 ¼ hour and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose for an afternoon of basketry. Please bring a skein of cotton clothesline, your favorite yarn and scissors. Bring your creativity for a fun-filled hour. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose to learn the basics of archery and then try to hit the target. All supplies provided. Ages 10 years and older. Limited registration. Registration is required.

Become Tom Sawyer for the afternoon as we read a short story about his life and then re-enact an adventure. Dress to get dirty and wet as we will be in the creek. Old shoes or boots recommended. Registration is required.

Become an American Girl for an afternoon as we read a short chapter, then prepare for a project that an American Girl would do. Join Linda Rose in a make our own boats. All supplies provided. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose as we walk under the light of the “Buck Moon.”  This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program.   Registration is required.
