For ages birth to 18 months. Spend the evening with Linda Rose exploring the trails while looking for butterflies. Come in a front pack, backpack, stroller or just walk. Registration is required.

Spend the morning looking and listening to the sights and sounds of nature in the preserve as you walk the trails with Linda Rose. Binoculars are helpful. This walk qualifies for the Walking Stick Program and lasts about 1 ¼ hour. Registration is required.

For ages 18 to 36 months.  Join Linda Rose as we walk the river “puddle stomping” as we go.  What will we find?  Dress to get wet.  Rubber boots recommended—no open-toed shoes.  Bring a set of clean clothes to change into afterwards. Registration is required.

For ages 5 to 12 years.  Join Linda Rose as we learn about the fish in the pond—their body parts, habitats, identification and more. Then try your hand at catching one. Fishing poles and bait provided or bring your own. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose as we walk under the light of the “Sturgeon Moon.”  This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program.  Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose and the park staff for an afternoon of “fun in the sun,” wagon rides, canoe and kayak floats, stream quality monitoring, kid’s activities, bluebird info and much more. Registration is required.

Become Tom Sawyer for the afternoon as we read a short story about his life and then re-enact an adventure. Dress to get dirty and wet. Old shoes or boots recommended. Registration is required.

For ages 3 to 5 years.  Join Linda Rose as we explore Honey Creek.  What will we find—a snail, crayfish, water bugs, who knows?  Rubber boots recommended.  Dress to get wet.  Please bring a set of clean clothes to change into when done. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose to learn the basics of archery and then try to hit the target. All supplies provided. Ages 10 years and older. Limited registration. Registration is required.

For youth ages 12 to 17 years and older. Join Linda Rose as we create seashell projects. All supplies provided. Just bring your creativity. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose for a morning of creating bouquets of zinnias out of pinecones. All supplies provided. Bring your creativity for a fun-filled hour. Registration is required.

Spend the evening with Linda Rose on the pond paddling around and enjoying the sights that nature has to offer. Canoes, kayaks, paddles and life jackets are provided. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose as we check out the marsh in the early morning. This walk will last about 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required.

Become an American Girl for an afternoon as we read a short chapter, then prepare for a project that an American Girl would do. Join Linda Rose in a sock doll project. All supplies provided. Registration is required.
