Spend the morning looking and listening to the sights and sounds of nature in the preserve as you walk the trails with Linda Rose. Binoculars are helpful. This walk qualifies for the Walking Stick Program and lasts about 1 ¼ hour. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose in the log home to do some chores and discover the life of an 1800's settler. Make some butter, cut some wood, dip some candles and more. Registration is required.

For ages 18 to 36 months. Join Linda Rose as we explore the trails and woods looking for and gathering nuts to create a nutty craft. Registration is required.

For ages 3 to 5 years. Join Linda Rose as we explore the trails and woods looking for leaves. Discover their colors, shapes and sizes. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose as we walk under the light of the “Hunter’s Moon.” This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required .

For youth ages 12 to 17 years and older. Join Linda Rose as we walk the trails learning about some troublesome tree insects and then create your own leaf critter from natural materials. Registration is required.

Join Linda Rose on this walk to see what has happened in the marsh as autumn has arrived. This walk will last about 1 to 1 ¼ hours and qualifies for the Walking Stick Program. Registration is required.

For ages 5 to 12 years. Join Linda Rose as we learn about what makes the fall season so happy! Registration is required at least 24 hours in advance of the program.

Join Linda Rose as we create a seasonal pumpkin out of material yoyos. Please bring some orange cotton material, scissors, needle, and thread. Registration is required.

The 7th Annual Sandusky River Trail Fun Run is taking place on the morning of Saturday, October 26th. Run along the Sandusky River at Steyer Nature Preserve and enjoy the Fall scenery as you traverse through natural wooded trails throughout the park. Halloween costumes are welcome. Registration is required.
